Arne Freya Zillich studied media studies, psychology and political science at Friedrich Schiller University Jena. She completed her doctorate on television enjoyment in a group-viewing situation (Friedrich Schiller University Jena) and habilitated with a study on orientation in complex media environments (Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF). She joined the Department of Communication Studies and Media Research in April 2024 and is currently part of the BMFTR research team on „Dis-Ident: Disinformation and identity construction in democratic societies”.
